Tuncel has always been attracted to making imagery. But it wasn’t until 3 years ago that she saw her artmaking as a way of exploring her inner self. And in doing so, she fell in love with painting. The relaxing landscape atmosphere is characteristically reflected in her images. She had three paintings shown at the “Riviera” exhibition at the Artist Network Gallery in 2019. Her solo show “Rays of Summer” was on display at Centennial College, Closet Gallery. Recently, with a large selection of her art, Tuncel took part in the Art Fair at St. Clair O’Connor Community Centre.
My artistic energy comes from the deep observation of nature’s synthesis of colours, shapes, patterns and lines. The influential view of the landscape has been the leading subject of my images. Seasonal changing of the nature are reflected on my work. Prominent styles in my paintings are the combination of realistic and semi abstract.
