Thanks to the tumultuous Gods of economy and politics, at the tender age of 11 Talha, child of the desert, was born again in Toronto. Upon his rebirth in the cold north, Talha lost his compass and took up pigeon whispering and platypus rearing. Throughout the years, he maintained a relationship with art that swung from lukewarm to passionate. However, during his voyages to Europe and Asia he realized that art is what he wants to do. Now this connoisseur of peculiarities and curiosities eats, breaths, and shits art.

As a conceptual artist, freedom or the lack of freedom is the concept that I explore in my art via different medium. This body of work addresses contemporary issues such as xenophobia, gender, and censorship. Use of bright colours and flowers illustrate that despite the gruelling force of oppression life finds a way to manifest its beauty. On the other hand, the dark colours symbolize the eternal night and violence. Together both of these elements come together to imitate the strange, self-contradicting chaos of the realm of men.
